RC RACING COMES TO RX
Racing Xtravaganza is welcoming RC competition in 2027! In coordination with Andy Zeller from Old Mill RC Raceway we are excited to add this action to the 2027 RX show.
This year will include 1/18 scale 1RC racing on a wooden banked oval surface.
Class List for 2027: class rules will be added in the near future. All 1RC classes will run the 8700kv brushless motor.
Youth Sprint Car - 5 cell stock NiMH battery with Lipo Regulator
Youth Late Model - 5 cell stock NiMH battery with Lipo Regulator
Stock Sprint Car - 5 cell stock NiMH battery or Lipo battery with Regulator
Stock Late Model - 5 cell stock NiMH battery or Lipo battery with Regulator
Open Sprint Car - Lipo battery no regulator
Open Late Model - Lipo battery no regulator
Box stock Losi Nascar - box stock including radio and battery
Pricing : registration fee will include 2 day pass for racer. Additional passes for pit crew will need to be purchased separately. Kids (17 and under) enter the show for free.
First class - $40 (includes 2 day pass)
Additional - $10 each
Youth - $10 each class
Race Format:
Friday evening controlled practice: 7:00pm - 9:00pm
Saturday:
Load in - 9:30am
Controlled Practice: 10:00am - 11:00am
Heats Begin: 11:30am
Each racer will draw a pill for each class to determine starting position in Heat 1.
Qualifying will be scored on race points. The tie breaker will be combined laps/time.
Heat races will be 50 laps each, Youth classes will be 35 laps.
Lower Mains will be 50 laps each.
Features (A Mains) will be 80 laps.
Trophies will be awarded to the top 3 finishers.
Aside from competing on the track, racers are also welcome to register their cars for the rc car show to compete for best in show. There will be multiple divisions with awards for each of the separate categories of cars to include:
Sprint Car - Rubber or Foam Tire \ Any Scale
Late Model - Rubber or Foam Tire \ Any Scale
Ready To Run - "Box Stock Ready to Race" Losi, Traxxas, TA, etc.
Other - Off Road, Crawler, Monster Truck or any other RC car.
