RX Shifts Focus to 2022

It is with mixed emotions and deep regret that Racing Xtravaganza organizers announce the postponement of the 2021 motorsports event, and set our sights on the February 4 -5, 2022 show.

We had hoped for more positive news regarding PA State regulations on large indoor gatherings by now. Unfortunately, the time to look to the future has come and we have made the decision to focus on making 2022 bigger and better than before!

The news in Pennsylvania continues to constrain events and business owners with mandates that include the word “limited” such as limited capacity, limited travel, limited hours of operation, and limited ways to interact overall. At Racing Xtravaganza, limitation is not a concept we can adopt.

Since taking over the Central PA Dirt Trackin’ York Show in 2015, our mission has been to create a must-attend, indoor winter motorsports experience that grows awareness and excitement for grassroots racing on an exponential level. Bringing new energy to York with the original Racing Xtravaganza name, moving to the 20,000 square-foot York Expo Center, and listening to fans’ ideas for attracting a bigger audience were the first steps taken to position the 2-Day Motorsports Show for unlimited success.

Looking back to January 31 and February 1 of this year, our five years of hard work and limitless mindset resulted in Racing Xtravaganza’s highest attended weekend in show history. This achievement would not have happened without enormous help from several partners.

· BAPS Auto Paints attracted the largest number of Cornhole competitors by raising the BAPS Cornhole Challenge overall purse winnings to a staggering $4,250!

· Wicked Energy Gum and the Explore York Tourism Organization allowed Racing Xtravaganza to host the first ever Live Wicked eSports iRacing Competition with iRacers from all over the United States, Australia, and Canada!

· Long-time show sponsors including Bricker’s Concessions, Viper Risk Management Group, Capitol Renegade Trailers and Hickory Falls Entertainment Complex provided entertainment to the record crowd with educational seminars, celebrity meet-n-greets, Ms. RX Pageants, and the highly active Kidz Zone.

· Life-Size replicas Optimus Prime and Bumble Bee Transformer quickly became a crowd favorite and brought many new faces into the York Arena for the first time.

Collectively, our amazing partners provided a one-of-a-kind opportunity for racetracks and raceteams to show off their upcoming racing plans and expand their fan base.

Overall, the 2020 Racing Xtravaganza 2-Day Motorsports Show resulted in the highest number of attendees, highest number of sponsorships, highest number of cars on display, and highest number of vendors. So rather than simply using this time to announce a cancellation of the 2021 event, we say Thank You to all of you for giving Racing Xtravaganza fantastic momentum into 2022!

In addition, we extend a special Thank You to 2020 Ms. Racing Xtravaganza, Cait Puccio, and Jr. Miss Racing Xtravaganza, Cheyanne Bream, for all your hard work throughout the past racing season. We will announce 2022 Ms. Racing Xtravaganza Pageant details during the 2021 racing season, so all 2022 contestants have an opportunity to sign up well in advance.

In closing, we would like to send a good luck to all racing promoters, fans, business owners and drivers for the 2021 season!
